Methods,
• General mineral constituents including Ammonia,Chloride,Hardness,Foaming Agents,Nitnte
as Nitrogen, total Phosphorus, Sulfate, Sulfide and Sulfite by various EPA Methods
Because of lengthy laboratory turn-around times, AGE will submit the above analytical results and
tabulation as an addendum to this quarterly report
6.0 SUMMARY OF FINDINGS FROM QUARTERLY ACTIVITIES
Previous soil characteristics data obtained by a CPT investigation enabled AGE to define five
informal hydrologic units (Final Remediation Plan, dated 31 August 2000) The informal
hydrogeologic units were defined as First Zone (5-35 feet bsg), Second Zone (40-60 feet bsg),
Rocky's Upper Zone (65-75 feet bsg), Secondary Aquifer Zone (85-105 feet bsg), and Primary
Aquifer Zone (130-150 feet bsg) The Rocky's Upper Zone was the shallowest groundwater zone
screened in the Rocky's domestic drinking water well
The results of pump and treat ground water remediation between 01 January and 31 March 2002 are
as follows
• Approximately 3,054,581 gallons of MTBE-impacted ground water were continuously
extracted from wells EW-4,EW-5, EW-9 and EW-10,which are completed in the First Zone
aquifer(Appendix B, Table 8)
• A total volume of approximately 12,897,113 gallons of MTBE-impacted water has been
treated at the site since the start-up period in November 2000 (Table 8)
• Dissolved MTBE was detected (utilizing EPA Method 8260M) in water samples collected
from extraction wells EW-4, EW-5, EW-6, EW-8, EW-9 and EW-10 at concentrations
between 1 8 and 100 pg/l,the greatest MTBE-impacted water was collected from extraction
is well EW-4 near the southwest comer of the site From the December 2001 to the March 2002
