Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2002 <br /> FLAG CITY CHEVRON <br /> 6421 Capitol Avenue, Lodi, California <br /> 10. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> At the request of Mr Richard Bokides,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for 6421 Capitol Avenue (the site), Lodi, California The report documents <br /> procedures and results for ground water monitoring and remediation performed at the site during <br /> January,February and March 2002(first quarter 2002),the report also documents well abandonment <br /> activities of the Rocky's Restaurant domestic drinking water well RDW-1, located at 14659 <br /> Thornton Road The enclosed quarterly report was prepared as required by California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board-Central Valley Region(RWQCB)Cleanup and Abatement Order No <br /> 5-00-700, dated 01 March 2000 The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and <br /> monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> The objectives the of first quarter investigations were to characterize, assess and monitor dissolved <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations in ground water, to <br /> characterize ground water flow direction and gradient and to continue ground water remediation at <br /> the site This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the RWQCB for <br /> investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites Background information and a description <br /> of prior investigations at the site were included in AGE's Final Remediation Plan, dated 31 August <br /> 2000 <br /> The following is a brief summary of first quarter 2002 site assessment and remediation activities <br /> performed at the site <br /> • 01 January through 31 March 2002 - Continued"pump-and-treat"remediation utilizing on- <br /> site extraction wells EW-4, EW-5, EW-9 and EW-10, <br /> • 01 January through 31 March 2002 - Discharged approximately 3,054,581 gallons of <br /> extracted and treated water into Coldam Ditch <br /> • 03 January 2002 - Monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent, effluent and receiving <br /> water monitoring event <br /> • 04 February 2002 - Monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent, effluent and receiving <br /> water monitoring event <br /> • 26 March 2002 - Abandonment of Rocky's Restaurant domestic water well RDW-1 <br /> • 27 March 2002-Monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent,effluent and receiving water <br /> monitoring event <br /> • 26, 27 & 28 March 2002 - First Quarter 2002 ground water monitoring event <br /> • <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
