AGE-NC Project No 96-0232 <br />' Page 3 of 16 <br />' 23 LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER PUMP AND TREAT SAMPLES <br /> Monthly influent and effluent grab water samples were logged on a chain-of-custody form, placed <br />' in a chilled container and transported to a California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified <br /> laboratory for analysis for <br />' Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline, diesel and motor oil (TPH-g, TPH-d <br /> and motor oil, respectively) by EPA Methods 3550/5030/8015 Modified, <br />' • Benzene,toluene, ethyl benzene and xylene(BTEX)with methyl-tertiary butyl ether(MTBE) <br /> by EPA Method 8020, <br /> • Methanol, ethanol, tertiary butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tert butyl ether <br />' (ETBE), tert amyl methyl ether(TAME) and MTBE by EPA Method 8260 Modified, <br /> • Total lead by EPA Method 6010/200 7, <br />' • Nitrate as NO3 by EPA Method 353 3 (effluent samples only), and <br /> • Aquatic toxicity (Bioassay) by EPA Method EPA 600/4-90/027F (quarterly sampling <br />�. frequency, effluent samples only) <br /> Receiving water samples(Coldaru ditch)were Iogged on a chain of custody form,placed in a chilled <br /> container and transported to a DHS-certified laboratory for analysis for <br /> o Total dissolved solids by EPA Method 160 1 (quarterly sampling frequency), and <br /> • Turbidity by EPA Method 180 1 <br /> 2 4 INFLUENT MONITORING <br /> In accordance with the requirements of RWQCB Monitoring and Reporting Program No 5-00-119 <br /> monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent monitoring was performed for TPH-g, TPH-d, <br /> TPH-mo, BTEX,MTBE, methanol, ethanol, DIPE, TAME, ETBE , TBA, nitrate and total lead on <br /> 15 October, 07 November and 12 December 2001 <br /> Influent water samples collected on the above dates detected MTBE (by EPA Method 8260) at <br /> concentrations of 23 ug/l, 20,ug/l and 20 gg/l, respectively(Table 1), on 12 December 2001, water <br /> I samples collected from extraction wells EW-4, EW-5, EW-6, EW-8, EW-9 and EW-10 contained <br /> MTBE at concentrations less than 53 ,ug/l with an average of 17 µg/1 (Tables 5 and 6) The <br /> • laboratory analysis did not detect any other constituents of concern Analytical results of pump-and- <br /> Advanced GeoEnnronmentai,Inc <br />
