. 11 July 2000 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 96-0232 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> 23 AQUIFER PUMP TEST <br /> Following well installations, a twenty-four hour shallow aquifer pump test and an eight-hour deeper <br /> zone pump test are proposed at the site to evaluate general zones of capture (radius of influence) <br /> achievable during ground water extraction at the site The proposed aquifer pump tests will be <br /> designed to obtain general aquifer characteristics such as hydraulic conductivity, storativlty, <br /> transmissivity, draw-down at a constant pumping rate and radius of influence <br /> 24 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Results of the aquifer pump test will be presented in the FRP, based on the results of the aquifer <br /> pump test, an appropriate ground water remediation system will be designed for the site The FRP <br /> will be in a format acceptable to the RWQCB-CVR (Appendix A guidelines), and will be reviewed <br /> and signed by a California Registered Geologist <br /> • 3 0. FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Registered Geologist Procedures for well installations, well development and aquifer pump test <br /> procedures are described below <br /> 31 DRILLING <br /> One soil boring will be advanced at the site to a depth of 35 feet bsg utilizing a truck-mounted, <br /> hollow-stem drill ng and 10-inch diameter hollow-stem augers, a second soil boring will be <br /> advanced at the site to a maximum depth of 50 feet bsg Cuttings generated during drilling activities <br /> will be placed on plastic sheeting and covered by plastic sheeting Rinseate will be containenzed in <br /> properly labeled DOT-approved 55-gallon drums, and stored on-site in an area lacking public access <br /> Disposal alternatives for rinseate and stockpiled soil will be evaluated based on results of a <br /> laboratory analysis <br /> 32 WELL COMPLETION <br /> The 35-foot boring will be single-completed utilizing 4-inch diameter schedule 40 polyvinylchlonde <br /> (PVC) well casing with 25 feet of 0 020-inch slotted well screen, the 50-foot boring will be single- <br /> is completed as a ground water observation well utilizing 4-inch diameter schedule 40 PVC well casing <br /> Advanced GwEn%uonmental.Inc <br />
