11 July 2000
AGE-NC Project No 96-0232
aquifer pump test to achieve optimum draw-down influence Results of the draw-down pilot test will
be included in the FRP and submitted to the RWQCB-CVR and the PHS-EHD
Following the 24-hour pump test, an eight-hour deep zone aquifer pump test will be conducted at
the site to induce a decline in static water level in the newly installed deep ground water extraction
well (screened 40 to 50 feet bsg), prior to initiation of the pump test, ground water extraction from
EW-1 will cease for approximately 12 hours to allow ground water level to stabilize Pressure
transducers will be deployed in wells EW-1, MW-1, MW-9A (screened 40 to 50 feet bsg) and the
newly installed well screened 10 to 35 feet bsg to measure difference in ground water levels before
well pumping versus time during well pumping A constant ground water pumping rate of
approximately 2 gallons per minute will be utilized from the ground water extraction well during the
eight-hour aquifer pump test to achieve optimum draw-down influence Results of the draw-down
pilot test will be included in the FRP and submitted to the RWQCB-CVR and the PHS-EHD
3 5 PURGED WATER DISPOSAL
Purged ground water will be containerized in an on-site 6,500-gallon Baker tank, composite "grab"
ground water samples will be collected on a weekly basis from the Baker tank for analysis of total
petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g), volatile aromatic compounds (BTEX),
methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE),tert butanol (TBA),tert-amyl methyl ether(TAME),di-isopropyl
ether(DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE), ethylene dibromide (EDB) and 1,2-dzchloroethane
(1,2-DCA)by EPA Methods 8015M, 8020 and 8260 The purged groundwater will be transported
off-site under non-hazardous waste manifest to Invirotech, a waste treatment facility located in
Roseville, California
Adtionced GeoEmironmentol,Inc
