Monthly Ground Water Monitoring Report - February 2000 <br /> i FLAG CITY CHEVRON <br /> 6421 Capital Avenue, Lodi, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> At the request of Mr Richard Bokides of Flag City Chevron, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE)has prepared this Monthly Ground Water Monitoring Report for 6421 Capital Avenue (the <br /> site), Lodi, California The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well <br /> locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert butyl <br /> ether(MTBE) concentrations in ground water and to characterize ground water flow direction and <br /> gradient on the site This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites Background information and a description of prior <br /> investigations at the site was included in AGE's Work Plan Addendum - ]March 2000, dated 08 <br /> March 2000 <br /> 2 0. QUARTERLY MONITORING AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES <br /> On 25 February 2000, ground water monitoring and sampling was performed at wells MW-1,MW-2, <br /> MW-4,MW-5,MW-6 and MW-7, ground water samples were collected from two domestic drinking <br /> water wells located at 14659 Thornton Road (Rocky's Restaurant) and at 14749 Thornton Road <br /> (Three B's Truck Plaza), ground water samples were collected from two municipal ground water <br /> wells located approximately 700 feet and 1,700 feet southeast of the Flag City Chevron site and one <br /> grab water sample was collected in a storm drain located 10 feet east of Flag City Chevron <br /> monitoring well MW-1 Ground water monitoring procedures for the site were outlined in the Wo?k <br /> Plan Addendum dated 28 January 1998 and approved by the PHS-EHD by letter dated 24 February <br /> 1998 <br /> 2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> Depths to ground water were measured in each well from the tops of the well casings at the site to <br /> the nearest 0 01 foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevations in each well at <br /> the site were calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed well <br /> casing elevations(Table 1) Ground water elevations were plotted and contoured on a scaled site map <br /> (Figure 3) <br /> After water levels were measured, approximately 9 to 16 gallons of ground water (a minimum of <br /> three well-volumes per well) were removed from wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6A, <br /> Adianced Geo En+ironnienlai,Inc <br />
