A hazardous waste generator shall not treat,store,dispose <br /> of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without a hazardous waste ID number. Go to the DTSC <br /> web site http://www.dtsc.ca.gov/IDManifest/PERMHWID.cfm for the form to reactivate the ID number. <br /> Immediately reactivate your State ID number and submit evidence to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 102 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Metal fines generated from band saws are being recycled as scrap metal without first determining particle size or <br /> hazardous properties. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Immediately stop recycling metal fines, make a hazardous waste determination for the metal waste, and manage it <br /> according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous <br /> waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation <br /> explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> -Floor sweep was observed in a trash can in the painting area. <br /> -A waste powder from cutting was observed on the ground near the recycling area. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately cease disposal, <br /> make a hazardous waste determination for the wastes, and manage them according to Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 104 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) No modified contingency plan. <br /> The contingency plan was incomplete missing the location of the emergency equipment. There must be at least <br /> one emergency coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, and the following <br /> information must be posted by a phone: the name and phone number of the emergency coordinator; location of fire <br /> extinguishers,spill control equipment, and if present, fire alarm;and the phone number of the fire department, <br /> unless the facility has a direct alarm. Immediately correct the plan and send it to the EHD for review. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 106 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> The owner stated that no training is currently being conducted.
