o/ MT-7 KLEINFE L D E R PROJECT SCHEDULE The proposed scope of work would be performed in accordance with the following approximate schedule. Approximate Task Timeline Week 0-1 Formal workplan authorization provided b the coup health department Week 1-2 Pernritting Week 2-3 Field Work Week 3-5 Chemical Analysis' Week 5 -7 Report Preparation Week 7 1 Report submitted to the Client Kleinfelder has no control over the time required by a regulatory agency to review and approve a work plan and permit applications or to supply information from their files for review. 2 This work will be done by a subcontractor. Kleinfelder selects reputable subcontractors,but, does not have full control over the time required by said companies. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS This workplan and the attached cost estimate are based on the following assumptions and responsibilities: • The client will assist Kleinfelder in obtaining access to the site and owner authorization for the proposed sampling. • Adequate work space and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to advance soil push probes and collect samples at the proposed locations. If the drilling equipment cannot be positioned or if refusal occurs, alternative drilling locations or sampling methods should be investigated. • Soil generated during the sampling will be left onsite within the contaminated footprint area. The borings will be backfilled using grout or a bentonite-type slurry. • Soil and water generated during the drilling and sampling will be the responsibility of the client. Soil cuttings and decontamination rinsewater will be left on site. Sampling and analysis of the contained soil and water may be necessary prior to disposal. Disposal or remediation options for the soil and water can be assessed once analytical results have been received. Kleinfelder is prepared to assist the client and to remediate or dispose of stockpiled soil and water, if requested. • This workplan is based on the presumption that the client will clearly mark utilities and will provide any and all available survey mapsor other data to determine the location of existing structures, underground utilities and services. The client should be aware that penetrating the site's surface is inherently risky. It is impossible to determine with certainty the precise location of all structures, which may be buried in the ground. Kleinfelder's fee is not adequate to compensate for both the performance of the services and the assumption of risk of damage to such structures. Disruption of utilities or damage to underground structures will be the responsibility of Curtis and the client. Services rendered by Kleinfelder to repair them will be billed at cost.
