Diane Russell, an attorney with the Chevron Company.
8 . Mr. Larry Whitehead of the Chevron Company.
9 . Mr. Norm Sturm of the Nationwide/Allied Insurance Company.
10 . The undersigned.
I began by reporting on my February 20th meeting with you and
other County officials, and describing the expected interplay
between the County and the D.T. S .C. in terms of sign-off agency
issues .
The discussion next turned to the anticipated remediation of the
spill , the first phase of which will probably be conducted by the
Kleinfelder company. The original Kleinfelder "Limited Soil
Assessment Proposal" is now being reviewed by both the
Kleinfelder company and Chevron/Texaco, and will be reissued
(perhaps in its existing form) within approximately one week.
Upon receiving a copy of that document, we will forward that for
your department' s review processes .
We will keep you closely apprised of all plans and of other
anticipated significant developments in the case . If, in the
interim, you have questions or comments, we ask that you please
contact our office .
Very truly yours,
D. LEE HEDGEPETH
DLH/dlr
