On March 4, 1997, the depth to <br /> water was measured in wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3. Groundwater elevations are shown in <br /> Table 1. The groundwater elevation has increased an average of 3.46 feet since September 23, <br /> 1996 due to record rainfall in December and January. The groundwater gradient is to the north <br /> with a magnitude of 0.001 ft/ft or 8 feet per mile. The groundwater gradient for March 4, 1997 is <br /> shown on Figure 2. Copies of field notes are contained in Attachment 1. <br /> During this monitoring event, the wells were found to be in good condition with no visible <br /> defects.
