Box 2009
1601 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95201
Re: Greyhound Terminal
Location #8969
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Infurna:
On behalf of Greyhound Lines, Inc. (Greyhound), Engineering-Science, Inc. (ES)
is pleased to present the August 1994 Quarterly Status Report for the Greyhound
terminal in Stockton, California.
The information contained in this report is presented in the format shown in
Appendix A of "Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation
and Investigation of Underground Tank Sites (August 1990)". Greyhound has
reviewed and approved this report, and has assigned ES to be their designated
representative for preparation and submittal of the quarterly status reports. The
enclosed report has been completed accurately, and in accordance with applicable
LUFT and Tri-Regional requirements. Greyhound agrees with the conclusions and
recommendations outlined in this cover letter and the attached semi-annual status
report.
Groundwater samples were collected at the Stockton facility on August 30, 1994,
and analyzed for TPH-D (Modified EPA Method 8015) and benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX) (EPA Method 8020) in accordance with applicable
requirements. Figure 1 provides a site map showing the monitoring well locations.
BTEX parameters were not detected in any of the groundwater samples collected.
TPH-D was detected at concentrations of 0.08 mg/l in MW-1, 0.13 mg/l in MW-2, and
0.08 mg/l in MW-3. Greyhound requests the analytical results obtained by the San
Joaquin County Department of Public Health Service's independent analysis of the
groundwater samples split on August 30, 1994.
PARSONS PAMSYROI\VOLI:WP\725218\08969\08969LO4.DOC RO
