(Greyhound), Parsons Engineering Science,
Inc. (Parsons ES) is pleased to present the December 1995 Quarterly Status Report for
the Greyhound terminal in Stockton, California. The report provides the information
specified in Appendix A of "Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for
Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tank Sites (December
1990)". Greyhound has reviewed and approved this report, and has assigned Parsons
ES to be their designated representative for preparation and submittal of the quarterly
status reports. The enclosed report has been completed accurately, and in accordance
with applicable LUFT and Tri-Regional requirements. Greyhound agrees with the
conclusions and recommendations outlined in this cover letter and the attached report.
As described in the report, groundwater samples were collected at the Stockton
facility on December 5, 1995, and analyzed for TPH-D (Modified EPA Method 8015)
and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX) (EPA Method 8020). BTEX
parameters were not detected in any of the groundwater samples. TPH-D was not
detected in two of the samples. TPH-D was reported in sample MW-3 with a
concentration of 70 µg/L. The next quarterly sampling/monitoring event is scheduled
for March 1996. Results will be submitted in a status report by April 15, 1996.
PARSONS PARESSYR01\VOLI:WP\727211\08969108969L08.DOC
