PHS/EHD also indicated that remedial feasibility
studies necessary to evaluate alternatives to reduce soil and groundwater contamination levels
should also be conducted.
PHS/EHD last received the groundwater sampling results from the November 16, 1995 sampling
event that was included in the Blaine Tech report dated December 4, 1995 and provided comments
in correspondence dated January 25, 1996. Please submit the first quarterly report and a response
to PHS/EHD comments.
As you are aware, the process to obtain Caltrans encroachment permits is anticipated to be lengthy.
Please submit by July 5, 1996 the work plan addendum required to complete the groundwater
investigation. Any field activities which are necessary to evaluate remedial alternatives should also
be included within the work plan addendum that is requested by July 5, 1996.
It is PHS/EHD desire to work cooperatively with you, but please be aware that in order to maintain
compliance with underground storage tank regulations, it will be necessary for you to complete the
required investigation and evaluation in a more timely manner.
If you have any questions, please contact Mary Meays at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Mary Meays, Senior R S Maagorio, RENT
9
Site Mitigation Unit Lead Senior
MM\139CENTE
cc: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB
cc: Tom Portele, Greyhound Lines, PO Box 660362, Dallas TX 75266-0362
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
