(GTI); to describe results obtained during the installation of an
additional offsite groundwater monitoring well on September.14, 1993. GTI's report also
summarizes results obtained from groundwater monitoring performed at the subject site on
November 22, 1993.
Groundwater monitoring well MW-6 was installed to define groundwater contamination west of
monitoring well MW-1. Soil sample results indicated detectable concentrations of both, toluene and
xylenes at ten and twenty feet below ground surface. No other hydrocarbons were detected below
these depths. Groundwater in MW-6 was sampled during the regularly scheduled quarterly
sampling event for the subject site.
The groundwater gradient direction measured during the November event was toward the
southeast. Dissolved hydrocarbons-were detected in all monitoring wells except, MW-4. The
measured levels were consistent with levels detected during previous site monitoring events.
If you have any questions or comments, I can be reached at(510)-842=8695.
Sincerely,
ISAX
Brett L.
