Encountering Hazardous Situations . (rectuiring evacuation) <br /> Personnel encountering a hazardous situation shall instruct <br /> others on site to evacuate the vicinity IMMEDIATELY and call the <br /> (1) Site Safety Officer (2) the Project Manager (3) the Health <br /> and Safety Manager for instructions. <br /> The site must not be re-entered until the situation has been <br /> corrected (i.e. appropriate back-up help, monitoring equipment, <br /> personal protective equipment is at the site) .. <br /> Usual Procedures for In-iury <br /> 1. Call for ambulance/medical assistance, if necessary. <br /> Notify the receiving hospital of the nature. of physical <br /> injury or chemical overexposure. If a telephone is not <br /> available, transport the person to the nearest <br /> hospital. <br /> 2. Send/take this site safety plan with the attached <br /> Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) to medical facility <br /> with the injured person. <br /> 3 . If the injury is minor, proceed to administer first <br /> aid. <br /> 4. - Notify the Site Safety Officer, Project Manager, and <br /> Health and Safety Manager of all accidents, incidents, <br /> and near miss situations. <br /> 5. Complete the Accident/Incident/Near Miss Form found in <br /> Appendix H. <br /> 3 <br />
