Analysis Results
Dear Mr. Bates:
Transmitted herewith are the results of the laboratory analysis of
water samoles from monitor wells MW-5 and MW-206 for the Appendix IX
compounds required by RCRA. These results indicate that chromium was the
only heavy metal analyte in these two samples that exceeded drinking water
standards. The concentration of chromium water samples collected from in
monitor wells MW-5 and MW-206 was 4.3 and 534 milligram per liter (mg/1 )
respectively (Attachment 1) . These results indicate that the concentration
of nitrate in these water samples also exceed the drinking water standard.
The concentration of nitrate in water samples from monitor wells MW-5 and
MW-206 was 108 and 93.9 mg/l respectively.
The water samples collected from monitor wells MW-5 and MW-206 were
also analyzed according to the following methods: Modified EPA Method 8080
for dibromochloropropane and ethylene dibromide (EDB) ; EPA Method 8080 for
organochlorine pesticides and PCBs; EPA Method 8140 for organophosphorus
pesticides; EPA Method 8150 for chlorinated herbicides; EPA Method 8240 for
volatile organics; EPA Method 8270 for semi-volatile organics; and EPA
Method 8310 for poly-nuclear aromatics (Attachment 2) . The organic
compounds detected by these analyses are 0.070 micrograms per liter of EDB
and 8 micrograms per liter toluene in the water sample from monitor well MW-
206.
Phoenix office: Tucson office:
2222 South Dobson Road 3385 North Campbell Avenue
Suite 401 Suite 121
Mesa, Arizona 85202 Tucson, Arizona 85719
1602 345-0888 1602 881-7300
