Center Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> SECOR Project No.: 77CH.00000.00.0002 <br /> Dear Ms. Lagorio: <br /> SECOR International Incorporated is providing this report to summarize the recently <br /> completed groundwater monitoring event at the above-referenced site. The site is located at 139 S. f <br /> Center Street, Stockton, California. 1 <br /> ACTIVITIES COMPLETED FOURTH QUARTER 2002 <br /> Gettler-Ryan Inc. conducted quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling and prepared the <br /> enclosed quarterly groundwater monitoring report. SECOR curtailed the ozone sparging pilot test at <br /> the site in preparation for station demolition activities. A workplan for the abandonment of all onsite <br /> monitoring and ozone sparging wells was submitted to and approved by San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division. <br /> PROPOSED ACTIVITIES FOR FIRST QUARTER 2003 <br /> Gettler-Ryan Inc. will conduct quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling and prepare a <br /> quarterly groundwater monitoring report. Nine monitoring wells and four ozone sparging well pairs <br /> will be properly destroyed. The station will be demolished, including removal of all USTs, product <br /> piping, and dispenser islands. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Groundwater monitoring and sampling was performed by Gettler-Ryan Inc. on October 18`h, 2002. <br /> Fifteen wells were sampled during this event. TPHd was detected in the samples collected from <br /> eleven of the fifteen wells at concentrations ranging from 57 µg/I in the sample collected from MW-5 <br /> to 50,000 µg/I in the sample collected from MW-9S. TPHmo was detected in samples collected from <br /> three of the fifteen wells at concentrations ranging from 2,900 µg/l in the sample collected from MW- <br /> 9A to 14,000 µg/l in the sample collected from MW-9S. TPHg was detected in samples collected <br /> from four of the fifteen wells at concentrations ranging from 1,900 µg/1 in the sample collected from <br /> \ MW-7 to 240,000 µg/I in the sample collected from MW-9S.' Benzene was detected in samples <br /> collected from four of the fifteen wells at concentrations ranging from 28 �tg/I in the sample collected <br /> from MW-7 to 16,000 µg/l in the sample collected from MW-9A.
