PRECiSION
i
1.0 Introduction
This report presents the Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) data
collected in Stockton, California on September 5th-9th, 2000.
1.1 Field Equipment and Procedures
The Cone Penetration Tests were completed by Precision Sampling
using an electronic cone penetrometer. Five soundings were
pushed with Precision's 25-ton CPT truck to depths of
approximately 53-73.5 feet. All soundings were conducted in
accordance with ASTM standards (D3441).
The penetration data was collected using the following parameters:
➢ Tip Resistance (Qc)
➢ Sleeve Friction (Fs)
➢ Pore Pressure (Ut)
These and other parameters were collected, calculated and printed
in real time in the field. All data was also stored on a diskette.
Baseline readings were collected before and after soundings in
order to monitor cone electronics. Baseline monitoring assures
proper cone operation.
Precision Sampling
1400 South 501h Street • Richmond, CA 94804 • (510) 237-4575 • FAX: (510) 237-4574
http://www.lprecisionsamh
p.com
Nationwide Direct-Push Services
1-800-671-4744
