/ MEMORANDUM
August 20, 1992
TO: Ron Palmclu'st, Senior Real Property Agent, HED
FROM: Victor Machado, Parks and Recreation Dept.
SUBJECT: MONITORING WELL PROPOSED BY GROUNDWATER
TECHNOLOGY INC. LOCATED ON THE SOUTH EAST
CORNER OF WASHINGTON AND CENTER.
Thank you for the opportunity to review the proposed site. There should be no
problem with locating a monitoring well there, provided the following
mitigation measures are met:
The well shall be located as far back as possible from any existing concrete, in
order to provide sufficient planting room for backfill planting.
Any existing utilities, sprinkler system, and landscaping shall be protected from
damage and immediately repaired if any damage does occur, at no cost to the
City.
Prior to removal or trimming of any, trees or shrubs, the well installer shall
contact Larry Nordstrom, Parks Superintendent/Landscape Architect 944-8372
and schedule an onsite review of the proposed work. No trees shall be removed.
Shrubs may be removed as necessary and shall then be replaced with same type
and size as those originally on site. The quantity of shrubs replaced shall be
such that the site looks mostly the same from the street and walk as prior to
construction. All planting shall be subject to approval by Mr. Nordstrom. Any
necessary trimming shall be discussed with Mr. Nordstrom at the time of site
review.
Attached for reference is a site map showing the general location of the sprinkler
system.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 944-8372
Sincerely, Victor
attachment
cc Emil Seifert, Director
