Ms. Victoria McCartney <br /> August 14, 2006 <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br />' monitoring well MW-7 located downgradient of the former UST complex appear to be stable and/or <br /> declining as depicted on Figure 3 of within Attachment 3. <br /> Summary and Conclusions <br /> • During this quarter, groundwater flowed to the southeast at a horizontal hydraulic gradient <br /> ranging from 0.002 to 0.004 ft/ft which is consistent with historical data. <br /> • Concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons continue to decline in the vicinity of the former UST <br /> complex on the southern portion of the site. <br /> • Concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons immediately downgradient of the former UST <br /> complex appear to be stable and/or declining. <br /> Recommendations <br /> Based on the results of historical groundwater monitoring and sampling BBL proposes the following <br /> modifications to the groundwater monitoring and sampling program for the site: <br /> • Quarterly monitoring of groundwater levels from the entire monitoring well network. <br /> • List of monitoring wells to be sampled on a quarterly basis: MW-5, MW-7, MW-8, MW-14, <br /> . MW-15, MW-15D, and MW-17. <br /> A � <br /> • Wells to be sampled on an annual basis: MW-3, MW-6, MW-13, and MW-16. <br />' 0 The list of analytes for all groundwater samples will include: TPH-G, TPH-D, TPH-MO, BTEX, <br /> MTBE,TBA, and 1,2-DCA. <br />' The sampling methodologies will remain consistent with past events, and the samples will continue to be <br /> submitted to Lancaster Laboratories of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a California Department of Health <br />' Services-certified analytical laboratory. <br /> The next groundwater monitoring and sampling event has been scheduled for third quarter of 2006.
