This is to notify you that Section 25297.15(a) in Chapter 6.7 of <br /> the Health and Safety Code includes a requirement that the EHD (local agency) not issue a <br /> closure letter, or make a determination that no further action is required with respect to <br /> "hazardous substance" underground storage tank release sites unless all current record <br /> owner of fee title to the site have been notified of the proposed action by the primary or <br /> active responsible party. <br /> Please provide the EHD certification in writing that all record fee title owners have been <br /> notified of the request for closure. If you are the sole property owner, provide a statement of <br /> that fact to the EHD to fulfill this requirement (form enclosed). <br /> In addition, prior to a closure/no further action required letter being provided to you, the <br /> monitoring wells installed during the site investigation must be destroyed under EHD permit <br /> and inspection. Please submit a brief work plan outlining destruction of all groundwater <br /> monitoring wells associated with this site per San Joaquin County Well Standards.
