SECOR <br /> . �N, International Incorporated <br /> August 21, 2002 <br /> Project 77BP 43036 00 0330 <br /> Ms Lori Duncan �NpERMN��SERVIGES <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Dual-Completion Well Installation Report <br /> Former ARCO Service Station#4493 <br /> 205 North Center Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Site Code: # 1042 <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> This letter, prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of <br /> Atlantic Richfield Company, presents the results of additional assessment activities, <br /> including the installation of one onsite and two offsite multi-completion groundwater <br /> monitoring wells (Figures 1 and 2) The purpose of this work was to evaluate the <br /> vertical extent of hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater beneath the site and in the area <br /> downgradient of the site <br /> The work was performed in accordance with SECOR's Work Plan for the Installation of <br /> Multi-Completion Wells dated November 16, 2000,Addendum to the Work Plan dated <br /> December 20, 2000,Addendum #2 to the Work Plan dated March 22, 2002, and a <br /> subsequent conversation between SECOR and San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services (SJCPHS) on April 17, 2002 approving the installation of nested wells <br /> screened at approximately 40 feet and 50 feet below ground surface SJCPHS approval <br /> letters are included in Attachment A <br /> Included in this report are a brief site background and summary of previous <br /> investigations, assessment activities and findings, and conclusions <br /> SITE BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> The site is a former ARCO Station and is located at 205 North Center Street in <br /> Stockton, California The site is located on property identified as Weber Point, and the <br /> Stockton Channel is located adjacent to the site to the south To the east of the site, <br /> across Center Street, is the property identified as Weber Block On the far east of <br /> Weber Block is a former Shell service station that once performed quarterly sampling <br /> associated with a previous petroleum hydrocarbon release Groundwater monitoring at <br /> 3017 Kilgore Roam, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916 861 0400 916 861 0430 Fax www secor com <br />
