The RDIP presents preliminary design drawings and describes <br /> activities for implementing the soil remediation described in the approved Remedial <br /> Action Plan for this site. This final RDIP incorporated Department of Toxic Substances' <br /> (DTSC's) December 17, 1998 comments and comments received from the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board on February 18, 1999 and March 18, 1999. <br /> It is Pacific Gas and Electric Company's understanding that DTSC has approved the final <br /> Remedial Design and Implementation Plan (RDIP) for the Stockton former MGP site. <br /> This is formal notification that PG&E has begun implementing the soil remediation <br /> described in the final RDIP for the Stockton site. Mobilization for the soil remediation <br /> began on Tuesday May 18, 1999. Four wells (M1,N'-9, MW-19, MW-6, and MW-10)will <br /> be abandoned during the week of May 31, 1999. The Phase I excavation, including <br /> Source Area 3, will begin during the week of June 7, 1999 and will last for two weeks. <br /> The Phase II excavation, including Source Areas 1 and 2,will be excavated during the <br /> months of July and August. The application of oxygen-releasing-compound will take <br /> place during the end of the Phase II excavation. <br />
