This report summarizes technical activities <br /> conducted by PG&E in compliance with the order from October 1, 1997 to December 31, <br /> 1997 and activities planned for next quarter. <br /> I. Activities Performed Durine Previous Quarter: <br /> The appendices for the Feasibility Study (FS)were sent to the Department of Toxic <br /> Substances Control (DTSC) and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (RWQCB) on June 13, 1997. The appendices include information on two supplemental <br /> site investigations (one done in 1995 and one done in 1996); on the soil and groundwater <br /> modeling done on the site; and on the treatability study to evaluate in-situ soil stabilization. <br /> On June 20, 1997,DTSC approved the draft FS, submitted by PG&E on April 3, 1997 <br /> (Chapters 1-5) and on May 27, 1997 (Chapters 1-5), contingent on several items being <br /> addressed in the final FS. These items were addressed in the final FS which was submitted <br /> to DTSC on July 10, 1997. <br /> The Draft Remedial Action Plan(DRAP) and the draft Public Information Fact Sheet(Fact <br /> Sheet)were submitted to DTSC and the RWQCB on September 22, 1997. The DRAP <br /> summarizes the FS for the site. The draft Fact Sheet summarizes the Remedial <br /> Investigation(RI), Risk Assessment(RA),FS and DRAP for the site. <br /> On August 25, 1997, a conference call was conducted with DTSC and the RWQCB <br /> regarding verification sampling during soil excavation.
