As a result, a fifth soil boring will be
drilled to satisfy sampling requirements in the vicinity of
monitoring well MWB-13 . Additionally, an air rotary casing
hammer will be used to install the deep well. As discussed with
Ms. Fanelli of CH2M Hill, when installing wells using this
method, it is critical that the drive casing lead the drill bit
when in a water producing zone to be screened. This would
prevent introducing air into the water zone and producing an air
lock effect.
If you have questions, please contact me at (916) 855-7892 .
Sincerely,
J /Amador
% Waste Management Engineer
Site Mitigation Branch
cc: Ms. Eileen Fanelli
CH2M Hill
1111 Broadway, Suite 1200
Oakland, California 94607-4046 -
- h
.. nm.ert.my.evaw.
