INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Roger Huckins, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has
prepared this Additional Site Assessment Work Plan for the property located at 1201
South Center Street, Stockton, California (site). The site and surrounding area are
illustrated in Figure 1. On-site structures, soil borings, soil-vapor sampling locations, well
locations, and proposed soil-vapor well locations are illustrated in Figure 2; on-site
structures, soil boring and well locations, and site vicinity features are illustrated in
Figure 3; and an expanded vicinity site plan depicting the site and surrounding area, off-
site soil boring locations and proposed off-site soil boring locations is presented as
Figure 4. General site background information is summarized in Appendix A.
This work plan was prepared as directed by Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CVRWQCB) letter, dated 29 September 2016 (Appendix B); and in accordance
with recommendations outlined in the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB),
Review Summary Report—Additional Work Sixth Review September 2016 (Appendix B).
Additionally, this work plan was prepared in general accordance with guidelines issued
by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB) for investigation of
UST sites and in accordance with Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC),
Advisory -Active Soil Gas Investigations, dated July 2015.
The CVRWQCB letter dated 29 September 2016 directed a work plan be prepared which
includes a proposal for the following:
• Collection of a sufficient number of groundwater samples to adequately delineate
groundwater pollution to the water quality objectives (WQOs) laterally and
vertically to the north, northeast, east, and southeast of the site;
• Installation and sampling of a sufficient number of permanent soil gas wells near
the shop building and L-shaped building in the southwest corner to adequately
evaluate potential vapor intrusion risk; and
• Installation and sampling of permanent soil gas wells near the residences at 21,
27, and 36 West Jackson Street and 21 East Jackson Street to confirm the
potential vapor intrusion risk to occupants.
AGE has designed a scope of work in this work plan to delineate groundwater pollution
laterally and vertically to the north, northeast, east, and southeast of the site; and to install
and sample permanent soil-vapor wells near the shop building and L-shaped building at
the site to evaluate potential vapor intrusion risk. However, AGE has not included a
proposal or scope of work in this work plan to install permanent soil gas wells near the
residences at 21, 27, and 36 West Jackson Street and 21 East Jackson Street to confirm
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc.
