N ` Interim Ground Water Remediation Work Plan FERNANDO'SPLACE 1201 South Center Street, Stockton, California 1.0. INTRODUCTION At the request of Mr. Roger Huckins Jr., former property owner of 1201 South Center Street, Stockton, California (site), Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Interim Ground Water Remediation Work Plan. The proposed ground water extraction system will operate in conjunction with the proposed soil vapor extraction system surrounding the former underground storage tank (UST) release areas. The site location is illustrated on Figure 1 . Structures and boring locations on the site are illustrated on Figure 2. Site background information is provided in Appendix A. This work plan has been prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EBD) by letter dated 19 October 2006 (Appendix B) and was prepared in accordance with the Regional Water Quality Control Board' s Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tank Sites guidelines forthe investigation of UST sites. 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of the work includes installation of four ground water extraction wells, installation of a ground water treatment system and initiation of shallow and deep ground water extraction, treatment and disposal. The interim remedial effort will be performed to reduce the recalcitrant mass of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons in ground waterbeneath the site. The scope of work will include the following tasks : • Permitting, planning and pre-field work tasks; • Installation of ground water extraction wells; • Installation of remediation piping system; • Installation of ground water treatment system; • Ground water extraction and treatment system start-up; • Monitoring and maintenance; • Progress/confirmation sampling. • Quarterly Reporting Each of these tasks are discussed below in detail.
