Center St. Clean Up Claim #4423
Stockton, CA 95201
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed
Revised Work Plan for Post Remediation Subsurface Investigation (Plan)
submitted by your consultant on October 5, 2006 and has the following
comments'.
The Plan is in response to requirements detailed in EHDs June 13, 2006
correspondence.
The Plan proposes installing/drilling ten (10) borings. Five borings are to collect
soil and ground water samples in the subsurface area recently treated by soil
vapor extraction (SVE) and in-situ air sparging (IAS). EHD has required
confirmation soil sampling to verify the effectiveness of the remedial effort.
Another five borings will be advanced in order to collect soil vapor samples in
order to address vapor intrusion concerns in preparation for a request for a No
Further Action Required determination.
The plan is adequate and necessary [H&S 25299.10(c)(3)] and approved. Soil,
ground water, and vapor samples are to be analyzed for ALL petroleum
constituents previously required by EHD.
Please start procedures needed to obtain the City of Stockton Public Works
Encroachment permit. A copy of this permit is to be submitted to EHD along with
the EHD Well Permit Application and $89 application fee per parcel (2).
Please continue to submit all data, reports, maps, wellhead survey data, work
plans and laboratory data gathered since January 2005 to Geotracker. All site
information since January 2005 is required by California Code of Regulations
Title 23, Section 3890 to be submitted to Geotracker and is required before the
No Further Action request can be approved.
