Box 388 <br /> Stockton, California 95201-0388 <br /> II - <br /> Dear Mr. Infurna: <br /> i <br /> Subject: Proposed Groundwater Monitoring <br /> 1717 South Center Street-Stockton, California <br /> As you requested, Philip Services Corporation(Philip)is notifying you that will <br /> groundwater monitoring will be performed at the subject site. A Philip geologist <br /> is tentatively scheduled to collect groundwater samples from the three existing <br /> site wells during the week of June 12a'. These samples will be submitted to <br /> Acculabs in Davis, California for TPH-gasoline and BTEX compounds using <br /> Method 602/8015, and for oxygenate compounds using Method 8260. A report <br /> summarizing groundwater conditions and analytical results will be submitted to <br /> you by July 28, 2000. <br /> As we agreed, Philip will perform several quarters of monitoring to assess <br /> groundwater conditions. If results from these.monitoring events indicate that <br /> groundwater impact remains above action levels, then Philip will consider <br /> subsequent actions.These actions may include additional site investigation to <br /> further delineate the extent of impact. <br /> In order to gain pre-approval from the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank <br /> Fund, Philip requests that you reply to us in writing directing up to one year of <br /> quarterly groundwater monitoring.
