Before receiving a PHS/EHD corrective action-directive and in orderto <br /> receive <br /> n to <br /> the SWRCB Clean up Fund Letter of Committment , you must make app <br /> the State of California Water Resources Control Board's {SWRCB). "Petroleum <br /> Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund" (Fund);" . An application package for the <br /> Fund has been provided. <br /> Health <br /> The Fund was created pursuant <br /> wnersaandroperatorstof petroleumhe un <br /> Safety Code to help eligible <br /> storage tanks to: <br /> demonstrate financial responsibility; <br /> 1. Meet federal requirements to <br /> 2, Obtain reimbursement for costs'of the cleanup of unauthorized <br /> releases of petroleum from USTs; .and <br /> 3. Obtain reimbursement for damages awarded to third parties who are <br /> injured by petroleum releases. <br /> The maximum amount available from the Fund is $990,000 per occurrence. <br /> Claimants are responsible for the first $10,000 of eligible costs. <br /> Applications must be submitted to the SWRCB Clean Up Fund by March 31, 1994 to - <br /> or funding in the 1994-95 state fiscal budget <br /> undergo eligibility ranking f <br /> ions and remedial actions must be performed <br /> year. All subsurface investigat <br />; under a workplan approved by PHS/EHD. <br /> The Fund does not cover the costs incurred for the removal, repair, retrofit, <br /> or installation of USTs.
