Center St. <br /> Stockton, CA 95,206 <br /> During removal of the Underground Storage Tank (UST) located at the above referenced <br /> site on December- 6 1990, a petroleum odor was observed coming from the tank excavation. <br /> Soil samples were obtained from beneath the UST but the analytical results of these samples <br /> were never submitted to San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD). The former underground storage tank cannot be recommended-for <br /> final closure without further investigation to determine the full extent of the soil and/or <br /> groundwater problem. <br /> In addition- PHS/EHD is providing you notification than an "Underground Storage Tank <br /> Unauthorized Release(Leak)/Contaminated Site Reporthas been filed pursuant to Section <br /> 25180.7 of the Health and Safety Code. <br /> Should you wish to mitigate the contamination documented at your facility, PHS/EHD has <br /> been designated by the State of California Water Resources Control Board as the local <br /> agency overseeing the investigation of leaking UST's.
