f Y r <br /> -, <br /> Industrial Services Group <br /> Eastern Region�� l November 7,2000 <br /> Project 62400918 <br />' Mr Michael Infurna Jr, Senior REHS <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> LOP/Site Mitigation Unit <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> L Subject: Third Quarter 2000 Groundwater Monitoring Results <br /> 1717 South Center Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> IAt your request, groundwater monitoring was performed at the subject site <br /> Monitoring was performed during the third quarter of 2000 to evaluate current <br /> 1 and evolving groundwater conditions potentially affected by a former <br /> underground storage tank (UST) that had operated at this property Site <br /> information and monitoring results are contained in the following sections <br /> ' Site Location <br /> The site is located at 1717 South Center Street, on the northwest corner of South <br /> Center Street and Third Street in Stockton, California (see Figure 1, Vicinity Map, <br /> in Attachment 1) This property was operated by Kilpatrick's Bakeries, Inc , up to <br /> 1988, as a bakery products storage depot The current property owner, Mr Jerry <br /> Gregersen of Stockton, California, leases the site to an auto body repair business <br /> The property comprises approximately 9,000 square feet of area, including an <br /> approximately 4,000 square feet, sheet metal-constructed building built on a slab- <br /> on-grade spread footing (see Figure 2, Site Plan) There is no known basement <br /> structure associated with this building The majority of the site and the area <br /> around the former UST is paved with asphalt or concrete <br /> Other properties in the vicinity comprise a mix of commercial and residential <br />' properties Edison High School is situated about 3 blocks to the north An existing <br /> San Joaquin County leaking UST case site, an operating gasoline station, is <br /> located about 1 block to the north on the east side of South Center Street The <br />' closest private residence to the former UST area is about 150 feet away to the <br /> southwest The closest surface water body is the Mormon Slough, located about <br /> F11 <br /> 4,500 feet to the north <br /> PHILIP ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES CORPORATION <br /> 210 West Sand Bank Road•PO Box 230 4 Col:=Na IL 62236-0230 <br /> (618)281-7173-(800) 733-7173®Fax(618)251-5120 <br />
