i <br /> t <br /> Industrial Services Group August 21, 2000 <br /> Eastern Region <br /> Project 62400918 <br /> Mr Michael Infurna Jr, Senior REHS <br /> San Joaquin.County Environmental Health Division <br /> LOP/Site Mitigation Unit <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br />' Dear Mr Infuma <br /> t Subject: Second Quarter 2000 Groundwater Monitoring Results <br /> 1717 South Center Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> tAt your request, Philip Services Corporation(Philip) performed groundwater <br /> monitoring at the subject site Monitoring was performed during the second <br /> t quarter of 2000 to evaluate current groundwater conditions potentially affected by <br /> a former underground storage tank(UST) that had operated at this property Site <br /> information and monitoring results are contained herein <br /> Site Location <br /> tThe site is located at 1717 South Center Street, on the northwest corner of South <br /> Center Street and Third Street in Stockton, California(see Figure 1, Vicinity Map, <br /> t <br /> in Attachment 1) This property was operated by KiIpatnck's Bakeries, Inc , up to <br /> 1988, as a bakery products storage depot It is presently leased out as an auto <br /> body repair shop by the current property owner, Mr Jerry Gregersen of Stockton, <br />' California <br /> The property comprises approximately 9,000 square feet of area, including an <br /> tapproximately 4,000 square feet, sheet metal-constructed building built on a slab- <br /> on-grade spread footing (see Figure 2, Site Plan) There is no known basement <br /> structure associated with this building The majority of the site and the area <br />' around the former UST are paved with asphalt or concrete <br />' Other properties in the vicinity comprise a mix of commercial and residential <br /> properties Edison High School is situated about 3 blocks to the north An existing <br /> San Joaquin County leaking UST case site, an operating gasoline station, is <br />' located about 1 block to the north on the east side of South Center Street The <br /> closest private residence to the former UST area is about 150 feet away to the <br /> southwest The closest surface water body is the Mormon Slough, located about <br /> 4,500 feet to the north <br /> tPHILIP ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES CORPORATION <br /> 210 test Sand Rank Road-PO Box 230-Columbia, 162236-0230 <br /> (618)281-7175 a(800)733-7173 w Fax(618)281 5120 <br />
