AJL 2 9 1999 <br /> Drain sweet IRONMENTA� HEALTH <br /> Mw <br /> alon, Cah[orma 95320 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Telephone: (209)838-9888 <br /> Faesanile: (209) 838-9883 <br /> July 28, 1999 <br /> Mr NEchael Inf lma <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 E Weber Ave, 3rd Fl <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Subject Groundwater Monitoring Well Instaflation Report <br /> Center Street Parts/Kilpatrick-EartliGrams Bakery <br /> 1717 Center St, Stockton, CA 95206 (Site Code 2371) <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> Ground Zero Analysis, Inc (Ground Zero) is submitting this report summarizing the installation of <br /> three groundwater monitoring wells and analytical results of soil and groundwater sampling at the <br /> subject site (Figure 1) The work was conducted at the request of the San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services, Environmental Health Division (San Joaquin County PHS/EHD) to determine the <br /> impact to groundwater from contaminants previously documented at the site <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> One 1,000-gallon gasoline underground storage tank (UST), a dispenser, and a portion of the <br /> associated piping were removed from the subject site in December 1990 Soil contamination was <br /> evident in the tank pit Approximately 18 cubic yards of soil was removed from the pit and disposed of <br /> at a Class 2 landfill The excavation was backfilled utilizing off site engineered material Confirmation <br /> soil samples collected from the excavation indicated that residual soil contamination remained in the <br /> vicinity of the former tank excavation Soil samples collected along the associated piping were <br /> reported as non-detectable for petroleum hydrocarbon analytes <br /> On April 16, 1998, a subsurface investigation involving the sampling of two soil bonngs transpired, and <br /> the remaining product piping associated with the former UST was abandoned in place Analytical <br /> results from the investigation indicated that soil and groundwater contamination was present in the <br />�I 9rC9e \zubsuzf rpt <br />
