�y 1 INTRODUCTION ' Philip Services Corporation (PSC) subcontracted Kleinfelder to perform the July 2005 quarterly groundwater-monitoring activities at the former Kilpatrick's Bakeries, ' Inc facility This report summarizes the results of those activities This report also Includes current and historic summary tables (1 through 6) and figures (1 through 4) This quarterly report is being submitted to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) Copies of the report have been submitted to the Central Valley Region of the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB-CVR), and to the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Clean-Up Fund of ' the State Water Resources Control Board(SWRCB) ' 1.1 Site Description The project site is located at 1717 South Center Street in Stockton, California 1 (see Figure 1) Up to 1988, this property was operated by Kilpatrick's Bakeries, Inc as a bakery products storage depot The current property owner, Mr Ismael Rivera of Stockton, California, operates an auto body and ' furniture repair business The property consists of about 9,000 square feet, including an approximate 4,000 square feet, sheet metal-constructed building that is built on a slab-on- grade spread footing (see Figure 2, Site Plan) There is no basement structure associated with this building The majority of the site and the area around the ' former UST are paved with asphalt or concrete Other properties in the vicinity comprise a mix of commercial and residential ' properties Edison High School Is situated about three blocks to the north An operating gasoline station, which is the subject of an existing San Joaquin County leaking UST case, is located about 1 block to the north on the east side of South Center Street The closest pnvate residence to the former UST area is situated about 150 feet to the southwest The closest surface water body is Mormon Slough, located about 4,500 feet to the north The property east of the site across South Center Street at 1725 El Dorado P p Y , Street, is a business currently operated as Glass Replacement and Supplies ' This property is situated on a traffic island between South Center and El Dorado Streets Historic information indicates that this property was formerly ' operated as a retail gasoline station until about 1986 • l Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report July 2005 Prepared for SARA LEE BAKERY GROUP,INC Prepared by Philip Services Corporation Investigative and Quarterly Report Lard Quarterly Report 07_2005(final) September 23,2005
