16 June 2002 <br /> AGE-NC Prod ect,No 00-0769 <br />' Page 2 of 6 <br />' 2 2 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Water samples were collected from each monitoring well using new disposable bailers after allowing <br />' the wells to achieve a minimum 80% recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water sample <br /> was transferred into three 40-ml VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a sample <br /> preservative After collection, the samples were properly labeled, placed in a chilled container and <br />' transported under chain-of-custody to Mc Campbell Analytical,Inc (MAI),a California Department <br /> of Health Services-approved laboratory, for analysis The samples were analyzed for the following <br />' • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPH-g)in accordance with EPA Method 8015M, <br /> • Benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylenes(BTEX)and methyl tertiary--butyl ether(MTBE) <br />' in accordance with EPA Method SW846 8021B, and <br /> • The fuel additives di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), MTBE, <br /> tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA), methanol, ethanol, <br />' 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB) and 1,2-dichloro ethane (1,2-DCA) in accordance with EPA <br /> Method 8260B <br /> 23 PURGE WATER DISPOSAL <br /> On 25 March and 05 June 2002, approximately 70 gallons and 320 gallons, respectively, of non- <br /> hazardous purge water was pumped from the on-site 55-gallon drums, the purge water had been <br />' generated during previous ground water monitoring events Pumping and disposal was completed <br /> by American Valley Waste Oil, Inc of Delhi, California Purge water pumped on 25 March 2002 <br /> was disposed at Seaport Environmental located in Redwood City, California, the purge water <br />' pumped on 05 June 2002 was disposed at Riverbank Oil Transfer located in Riverbank, California <br /> Copies of the waste disposal manifests are included in Appendix C <br /> I <br /> 3.0.
