INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Roger Huckms, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for the property located at 1201 South Center Street,Stockton,California(the site) <br /> The scope of work included conducting a ground water monitoring event for the five on-site <br /> montonng wells and preparation of this report The location of the site and the immediately <br />' surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1, structures and monitoring well locations on the site are <br /> illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> 20. BACKGROUND - <br /> According to Foothill Engineering's (FE) Work Plan - Phase 2 Site Investigation, 1201 S Center <br /> Street,Stockton, CA,dated 28 May 1999,two 500-gallon and one 8,500-gallon gasoline underground <br />' storage tanks (UST 1, UST 2 and UST 3, respectively) were removed from the site by Jim Thorpe <br /> Oil on 26 October 1994 Ten soil samples were analyzed from the excavation soil stockpile,the UST <br /> excavations and the product piping by GeoAnalytical Labs Each sample contained detectable <br /> concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons FE reported that the highest concentrations were <br /> encountered near the west end of UST 3 (Figure 2) The excavation was backfilled to surface grade <br /> following sample collection <br /> On 28 A nl 1998, two soil Bonn s, PB 1 and MW,1, were advanced near the former UST 1 and <br /> p g <br />' UST 2 location and in the former UST 3 location,respectively Boring PB 1 was advanced to a depth <br /> of 30 feet below surface grade (bsg) for the collection of soil and ground water samples Analyzed <br /> samples contained total petroleum-hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) at concentrations <br /> 1 as high as 14,100 milligrams per kilogram(mg/kg)in soil and 1,000,000 micrograms per liter(µg/1) <br /> in the`grab' ground water sample Soil samples collected from the pilot boring for MW-1 contained <br /> TPH-g and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) to total depth of the boring - <br /> (50 feet bsg) The vertical extent ofhydrocarbon-impacted soil and groundwater was not determined <br />' at either location <br /> Four additional ground water monitoring wells, two shallow wells(MW-2B and MW-3B) and two <br />' deep wells(MW-2A and MW-3A),were installed by FE between 08 and 12 March 1999 Analyzed <br /> soil samples collected from monitoring well pilot borings MW-2A and MW-3A contained detectable <br />' concentrations of target analytes to total depths of both borings (120 feet bsg and 105 feet bsg, <br /> respectively) TPH-g was detected in soil samples collected at depths as great as 105 feet bsg and <br /> BTEX constituents to depths as great as 120 feet bsg Figure 2 illustrates former UST and monitoring <br />' well locations The vertical extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil was not defined at either location <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> f <br /> F <br />
