i <br /> 1 <br /> 21 November 2001 <br /> AGE-IVC Project No 00-0769 - <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br /> i <br /> 13 September 2001 Field procedures were performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) guidelines for subsurface investigations of underground <br /> storage tank (UST) sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells <br /> I 3 1 PURGE WATER DISPOSAL <br /> � r <br /> On 04 June 2001, approximately 550 gallons of non-hazardous purge water was pumped from on- <br /> site 55-gallon drums The purge water had been generated during previous ground water monitoring <br /> events -Pumping and disposal was completed by American Valley Waste Oil, Inc of Delhi, <br /> California The purge water was disposed at Seaport Environmental located in Redwood City, <br /> California A copy of the waste disposal manifest is included in Appendix A <br /> i3 2 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> lie On 29 June 2001 and 13 September 2001, the deptli to ground water was measured from the top of <br /> each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Sohnst water level meter Ground water <br /> elevations in each well were calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from <br /> surveyed casing elevations (Table 1) <br /> During the September 2001 monitoring event, a two-stage pump was used to purge wells MW-2A <br /> and MW-2B of standing water following depth to water measurments,new disposable plastic bailers <br /> were used to purge wells MW-1 and MW-213 A parked vehicle prevented purging and sampling <br /> MW-3B Approxunately 6 to 48 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes) were <br /> removed from each sampled well Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured <br /> at regular intervals during purging using an ICM water analyzer Field sheets and data from the June <br /> and September 2001 monitoring events are'included in Appendices B and C, respectively Purged <br /> water was stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br /> I3 3 , COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES! <br /> Water samples were collected from each purged well using new disposable plastic bailers Each <br /> water sample was transferred into three 40-inl VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid <br /> as a sample preservative After collection, the samples were properly labeled, placed in a chilled <br /> I container and transported under chairs-of-custody to McCampbell Analytical,Inc (MAI)for analysis <br /> The samples were analyzed for the following <br /> 0 <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmcntai,Inc <br /> I <br />
