Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2003
• ' FERNANDO'S PLACE
' 1201 South Center Street, Stockton, California +
Y
+
-1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Roger Huckms,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc '(AGE) has prepared this
' quarterly ground water monitoring report for the property located at 1201 South Center Street,
Stockton,California(site) The scope ofwork included monitoring and sampling the'rune monitoring
' wells on and off-site and preparation of this report The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1
Locations of structures, borings and monitoring wells related to the site are illustrated in Figure 2
Site background information is provided in Appendix A
2.0. PROCEDURES'
'The December 2003 monitoring event was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and San Joaquin County Environmental Health
' Department (EHD) guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites and for
sampling ground water monitoring wells, respectively
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
Y
On 18 and 19 December 2003, ground water monitoring and sampling was performed at one single-
completed ground water monitoring well(MW-1), two cluster-type ground water monitoring wells
(MW-2AB and MW-3AB)and six multi-chambered ground water monitoring wells(MW-4 through
MW-9) ,Depth to water data is included in Table 1 Due to scheduling conflicts, the ground water,
monitoring could not be completed concurrently with the neighboring Arc Pump and Weld site
On 17 December 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to water in all the
wells to the nearest 0 01 foot, relative to the top'of the well casing Between 18 and 19 December,
2003,approximately 6 to 44 gallons of ground water(a minimum of three casing-water volumes per
' well) were evacuated'(purged) from single-level wells MW-1, MW-2A, MW-2B, MW-3A and
MW-3B utilizing disposable polyethylene bailers or a Watera inertial pump equipped with 5/8-inch
' diameter polyethylene tubing and a check valve Multi-level monitoring wells MW-4 through MW-9
were purged utilizing'a Watera inertial pump equipped with 3/8-inch diameter polyethylene ,tubing
and a check valve Approximately,0 75 to,5 5 gallons of ground water(a minimum of three casing-
' water volumes per well) were purged from the multi-level monitoring wells
Temperature,pH and conductivitykere measured for stabilization at regular purge-volume intervals
' from each well using an Oakton water analyzer Field data and logs are provided in Appendix B
! Purged water was temporarily stored on-site in 55-gallon DOT-approved H-17 storage drums
pending proper disposal
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
V
