PROCEDURES
1 " r
The February 2003 rnomtoring event was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and San Joaquin County Environmental Health
' Department (EHD) guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites and for
sampling ground water monitoring wells, respectively
3
21 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 17 and 18 February 2003, ground water monitoring and sampling was performed at 31 ground
' water monitoring wells (MW-1 throughA coordinated effort was made with Arc Pump
MW-9D)
and Welding(1211 Turnpike Road)to conduct ground water monitoring activit>es concurrently, the
' Arc Pump and Welding depth to water results are included iii Table 1
On 17 February 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used tomeasurethe depth to water in all the +
' wells to the nearest 0 01 foot, relative to the top of the well casing Between 17 and 18'February
2003, approximately 6 5 to 45 gallons of ground water(a minimum of three casing-water volumes' ' a
per,,well)were evacuated (purged) from single-level wells MW-1,MW-2A, MW-2B, MW-,3A and
' MW-3B utilizing disposable polyethylene bailers or a two-stage pump Multi-level monitoring wells
MW-4 through MW-9 'were;purged,utilizing a Watera inertial pump !Approximately 0 40 to 6
' gallons of ground water(a minimum of three casing-water volumes per well)were purged from the `
multi-level monitoring wells
' Temperature,pH and conductivity were measured for stabilization at regular purge-volume intervals
from each well using an Oakton water analyzer Field data and`logs are provided in Appendix B
Purged water was temporarily stored on-site,in 55-gallon DOT-approved'H=17 storage drums
' pending proper disposal -
1
i1 I II
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I 1
II ,'
( I I
