A sensitive receptor survey will be
performed as part of the site investigation The purpose of this
survey will be to evaluate potential health risks associated with the
existing hydrocarbon and solvent plume The survey will include
evaluation of the following 1) sensitive receptors in the immediate
area of the site, including presence of schools, hospitals, or other
facilities that may utilize groundwater for water supply, and nearby
surface water bodies within 1/2 mile radius of the site, 2) well
search of records at the Department of Water Resources (DWR) in
Sacramento to determine the existence of nearby water supply wells,
and local groundwater use. All wells within a '/z mile radius of the
site currently on file at DWR will be documented, and 3) location of
possible contaminant conduits into, through, and out of the site, as
well as near the site (utilities, pipelines, etc )
• Survey of Possible Sources. Potential nearby offsite sources for the
solvents present in groundwater beneath the site will be researched
• Well Surveying. Upon completion of well construction, the wells
will be surveyed by a licensed surveyor for location and elevation
relative to mean sea level Groundwater gradient will be interpreted
utilizing wellhead elevations and depths to water
• Report. A report will be prepared after completion of necessary field
work The report will include boring logs, well location map, soil
and groundwater analytical results, a groundwater -contour map,
chain -of -custody documentation, and summary of findings
Field and laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment B
SCHEDULE
PEG is prepared to initiate field work within two weeks following approval of this
workplan and the issuance of necessary permits by the San Joaquin County Public
Health Services Department and the completion access agreements with City of Tracy
A report documenting the findings of the investigation is anticipated to be submitted
approximately 8 to 10 weeks after commencement of all field work
910-017 l A/WPLAN
