Monitoring Well Installation Preliminary Report and Monitoring Well Destruction Work Plan
730 E.Channel Street,Stockton
October 12,2004
Page 2
auger. The well was constructed with two-inch schedule 40 PVC piping to a depth of approximately 47
feet bgs. MW-3 was screened with 0.020 machine-slotted FVC from approximately 32 to 47 feet bgs.
Monitor well MW-3 will be destroyed by over drilling the well to approximately 52 feet bgs, removing
all well materials, and backfilling the boring with cement bentonite (three to five percent) grout. The
grout will be injected into the boring through a tremie pipe that will be inserted to the bottom of the
boring. The traffic box and any other refuse will be removed from the site.
In your letter dated August 25, 2004, approving the Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan, you directed
that the well installation, development, surveying, and initial monitoring be completed by October 25,
2004, and that a monitoring well installation report be submitted by December 10, 2004. On behalf of
Raymond Investment Corporation, Condor respectfully requests a 30-day extension for both of these
requirements to allow sufficient time for the destruction of MW-3 and the installation of the replacement
monitoring well. If you have any questions or need additional information,please-call Lee Morse at(209)
234-0518.
Sincerely,
CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
SO Gto
41 LEE H.
