Additional Vapor and Groundwater Monitoring Well Work Plan
Raymond Investment Corporation
August 4,2009
Page 8
around the tubing fittings and Summa canister. Sample volume will be controlled by time and the flow
{ controller such that approximately 33 minutes of sampling time are required.the target sample volume is
L 5,000 to 5,400 yml. The time required may be adjusted for actual Site conditions and flow rates. The
Summa-canister will be checked for end pressure, and checked to confirm sample collection by
connecting a gauge to the canister and confirming that vacuum pressure is 3,to.5 inches of mercury. A
duplicate sample will be collected from one of,the vapor well locations. An ambient air sample will also ` R
be collected from the air near a well (ambientblank),.and another sample will'be insr_de the_building
(ind6or air)during sample collection:AiiAirToToxics critical orifice device may be used,if available,with V
alower flow rate and longer sampling rime of two hours for these samples. These additional samples will
be used for comparison to soil vapor results and estimation of attenuation factors or for quality control.
The Summa canisters will.be labeled for sample identification, and delivered under chain-of-custody
Lprocedures to a California-certified laboratory for analyses.
5.0 LABORATORY ANALYSES
The soil and. groundwater samples collected from borings will be analyzed for TPH-G, TEPH-D,
TEPH-MO, and TEPH-K by.EPA Method 8015B; and for BTEX and,gasoline oxygenates/additives by
..
EPA Method 8260B. The gasoline additives/oxygenates include methanol, ethanol,-TBA,MTBE, DIPE,
ETBE, TAME;-and 1,2-DCA and EDB. The' soil vapor samples collected will be analyzed for B_TEX, ,
.total petroleumhydr_c rbonsapor (TPH-V), naphthalene,}gasoline additives/oxygenates, Iandi 1p/n
/{ l,l-difluoroethane (leak_detection compound)by EPA Method TO-15. The gasoline additives/oxygenates
will include TBA, MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, and TAME.
— - -
6.0 REPORTING `
Condor will prepare a report detailing the findings of the investigation and well installation to be
submitted to the SJCEHD. The report will include a discussion of the field and laboratory procedures
used to conduct the investigation, a discussion and presentation of the analytical results, and
recommendations including a sampling and analysis plan. Condor will prepare a separate report as an
updated Site conceptual model which will include three-dimensional models. Condor,.will use the data
collected to prepare a remediation feasibility report which has a current due date of December 15, 2009.
LSI
al CONDOR
