Broadway Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205-3060
Subject: Addendum to Revised Closure Summary Report
Md-Cal Leasing
1644 East Channel Street, Stocklon, Callforala
Dear Mr. Gotelli:
In accordance with the request of Ms.Mary Ways of the San Joaquin County Public Health.
Services - Environmental Health Division (PHSIEHD), Geological Audit Services, Inc.
(GeoAudit).has prepared this addendum to the Revised C3osure Summary Report (CSR)
dated October 12. 1994.
1.4 REMAIN-ING IMPACTED SOIL
Revised estimates(see attachment)indicate that approximately 127 cubic yards of impacted
soil retrain at the site. Using the available four pieces of data, the average concentration
of the remaining impacted soil can be calculated to be 4.38 parts per mDlion (ppm). Using
the calculated volume of impacted sail (127 cubic yards), the total volume of remaining
hydrocarbons at the site is calculated to be 0.22 pDons (less than one quart).
2.0 PROJECT COSTS
Mid-Cal Leasing has spent approximately 8180,000 to date, for the assessment and
remediation of bydrvcarbon impacted soil and groundwater at the aite. A total of
approximately 1,200 cubic yards of soil were excavated to a maximum depth of 39 feet. The
sail was characterized and disposed at a licensed landfill. Ue excavation was then
backfilled.
With such extremely low concentarations-ofhydrocarbons,existing soil remediation methods
are probably not feasible or cost effective. Soil remediation methods that could be
employed at the site indude vapor extraction or excavation and treatment4sposal.
1
Full Spectrum Environmental Services•Hydrogeology
