Geological ' <br /> g cal Audit Services, Inc. <br /> • _ _ Wim= Environmental Professionals <br /> v low 1803 March Lane, Suite A•Stockton, CA 95207-6414• (209) 956-0264•Fax (209)956-0700 <br /> December 7, 1994 <br /> SC-92-08-061-02 <br /> Mr Ed Gotelli <br /> MID-CAL LEASING <br /> 1856 N Broadway Ave <br /> Stockton, CA 95205-3060 <br /> Subject: Addendum to Revised Closure Summary Report <br /> Mid-Cal Leasing <br /> 1649 East Channel Street, Stockton, Calirornia <br /> Dear Mr Gotelh <br /> In accordance with the request of Ms Mary Meays of the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD), Geological Audit Services, Inc <br /> (GeoAudit) has prepared this addendum to the Revised Closure Summary Report (CSR) <br />.� dated October 12, 1994 <br /> 1.0 REMAINING IMPACTED SOIL <br /> Revised estimates (see attachment)indicate that approximately 127 cubic yards of impacted <br /> soil remain at the site Using the available four pieces of data, the average concentration <br /> of the remaining impacted soil can be calculated to be 4 38 parts per million (ppm) Using <br /> the calculated volume of impacted soil (127 cubic yards), the total volume of remaining <br /> hydrocarbons at the site is calculated to be 0 22 gallons (less than one quart) <br /> 2.0 PROJECT COSTS <br /> Mid-Cal Leasing has spent approximately $180,000 to date, for the assessment and <br /> remediation of hydrocarbon impacted soil and groundwater at the site A total of <br /> approximately 1,200 cubic yards of soil were excavated to a maximum depth of 39 feet. The <br /> soil was characterized and disposed at a licensed landfill. The excavation was then <br /> backfilled <br /> With such extremely low concentrations of hydrocarbons, existing soil remediation methods <br /> are probably not feasible or cost effective Soil remediation methods that could be <br /> employed at the site include vapor extraction or excavation and treatment/disposal <br /> 1 <br /> Full Spectrum Environmental Services- Hydrogeology <br />
