CLOSURE SUMMARY REPORT <br /> Mid-Cal Leasing <br /> I 1649 East Channel Street <br /> Stockton, California 1 <br /> - - July 1994 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Ed Gotelli of Mid-Cal Leasing (MCL), Geological <br /> Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) has prepared this Closure Summary Report (CSR) for the <br /> property located at 1649 East Channel Street in Stockton, California (the site) Included in <br /> this report is a complete history of tank removal, assessment and remediation activities at <br /> the site <br /> I The site is located in a flat, commercial/light industrial area of central Stockton The site is <br /> currently vacant and undeveloped A residential area is located northeast of the site The <br /> location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 A plan of the site Is illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> 2.0 REMOVAL OF UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK'S <br /> 2.1 Tank Removal, October 1988 <br /> One 8,000-gallon diesel tank and one 10,000-gallon diesel tank were removed from the site <br /> on October 7, 1988 by Jim Thorpe Oil, Inc (JTO) The tanks were located on the eastern <br /> portion of the site, near the property line (see Figure 2) Two soil samples were collected <br /> from beneath each tank The samples were collected and analyzed by representatives of <br /> Canonie Environmental of Stockton, California The analytical results from the UST <br /> removal are summarized in Table 1 The analytical results and chain-of-custody are included <br />' in Appendix A <br /> 2.2 Excavation and Disposal of Hydrocarbon Impacted Soil <br /> IHydrocarbon impacted soil was encountered during the tank removal The impacted soil was <br /> excavated from the tank cavity by JTO. According to JTO approximately 350 cubic yards of <br /> hydrocarbon impacted soil were removed from the excavation and stockpiled on-site <br /> The excavated soil was characterized and disposed at BFI Waste Systems (Vasco Road <br /> Landfill) in Livermore, California Copies of the Non-Hazardous Waste Manifests are <br /> included in Appendix B The soil was transported by MP Environmental, loading and <br /> 13w1vV-J Anda Sen W I.. 1 <br /> Md41 Q3i/1.6[N-9 <br />
