Cardinal Ave.Through historic CERS submittals, I came to
the conclusion that the tank at the site is a 10,000 gallon tank. Since this is the only tank associated with Antonini
Enterprises at that facility, once the tank is properly closed we can remove the facility from our inventory. If the tank will
be used at some point in the future, the Environmental Health Department needs to be informed and an SPCC plan
needs to be in place. I have included pictures showing the connected piping, missing sign with"permanently closed" and
date of closure. Once the corrections are made return the attached Return to Compliance Certification form and
provide the proof of correction.
Here are the requirements for a tank to be"permanently closed" and not need to be in a SPCC plan.
-remove all liquid and sludge from each container and connecting line
-disconnect and blank off all connecting lines and piping have from the tank
-close and lock all valves
-post a sign conspicuously stating that it is a permanently closed container and denoting the date of closure.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
FREE classes presented by NES Inc. are available to all San Joaquin County Hazardous Waste, Underground Storage
Tank, and Aboveground Petroleum Storage Facility Business Owners and Operators.
