The
attached laboratory analysis reports indicate gasoline hydrocarbons
are present in soil samples collected during this investigation.
Therefore, ARCO is requesting the subject site be placed on the
pilot program regulated by your agency.
Applied GeoSystems will submit under separate cover an addendum to
their work plan to drill soil borings and install vapor-extraction
wells/ground-water monitoring wells at the site. This work will be
conducted before the tanks are removed. The well type will depend
on the depth hydrocarbons are detected using the photoionization
detector during drilling. A vapor-extraction test will be
conducted using the vapor-extraction wells. No remediation will be
conducted at the site until after an Interim Remediation Plan is
submitted to your agency.
Please call Ms. Eloise Frick of Applied GeoSystems at 916-852-6690
if you have any questions regarding this request.
Submitted by,
Chuck Carmel
Environmental Engineer
805dhin
31009-1
APPC-7025-D
ARCO Products Company is a OlNslon of AtlanUcRIChfIeld Company (9-88)
