Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Subject: Request for a Drilling Permit and Work Plan Addendum for a Soil <br /> Investigation at ARCO Service Station No. 2168, 441 West Charter Way, <br /> Stockton, California. <br /> Mr. Infurna: <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), we are submitting this addendum to <br /> our previous Work Plan No. 31009-1W, dated May 17, 1991. We are requesting a drilling <br /> permit to drill three or four soil borings near the existing gasoline tank cavity and two soil <br /> borings in the proposed tank cavity. The borings will be grouted to surface: no vapor wells <br /> will be installed. We will submit the analytical results of the soil samples from the borings <br /> to your agency. If hydrocarbons are detected, ARCO will request the site be included in <br /> the pilot program and we will apply for a second permit to drill and install vapor-extraction <br /> wells. <br /> Please call Eloise Frick at 916-452-2901 when you issue the permit so the drilling operation <br /> can be scheduled promptly.
