Boring locations are shown on Figure 2 The site was added to the
San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS), Environmental Health Division, pilot
program on August 5, 1991 Based on information supplied by ARCO, the waste oil tank was
removed on November 18, 1986
In April and May 1992, RESNA observed the drilling of eight additional soil borings (B-5
through B-12) and the installation of three groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through
MW-3) and three vapor extraction wells (VW-1 through VW-3) Well Iocations are
shown on Figure 2 Gasoline hydrocarbons were detected in samples collected from the
borings. Total oil and grease (TOG), halogenated volatile organic compounds (HVOCs),
and polychlorinated biphenyls were not detected in the samples analyzed; however, total
extractable hydrocarbons were detected During dnllmg on April 28, 1992, approximately
5 gallons of gasoline were released from a fractured product line between the dispenser
islands and the underground tank cavity Results of the initial assessment of the release
were reported in RESNA's Second Quarter 1992 Status Report and Addendum Workplan
.
